High-speed counter module with EtherCAT connectivity for acquiring encoder and pulse signals. Two independent channels count A, B and Z phases with 32 bits and handle pulses up to 4 MHz. Line receiver inputs for line driver encoders and DC inputs for open collector devices (NPN/PNP) are built in. The comparison output function switches an output as soon as the counter reaches a preset value; latch, reset, preset and pulse rate measurement complete the counter functions. The module mounts on a DIN rail.
EtherCAT communication
The connection is via EtherCAT with CoE. Firmware updates are transferred via FoE; Free Run, SM Event and DC SYNC Event are available for synchronized operation.
