Digital input/output system with RS-485 connectivity for decentralized acquisition of sensor signals and switching of actuators. The modules connect switches, sensors and actuators to the network directly on site, reducing wiring effort in the control cabinet. Available are input modules with 16 channels (NPN or PNP), an output module with 16 channels (NPN) and combined modules with 8 inputs and 8 outputs each.
RS-485 communication
The connection is via RS-485 with an adjustable baud rate of up to 921,600 bps. Up to 16 modules can be operated in a daisy chain on a shared line. A Windows user interface program and a Motion Library (API) are available for commissioning.
