Fieldbus gateway for PROFINET: connects up to 16 Ezi-SERVO, Ezi-STEP and Ezi-MOTIONLINK drives of the Plus-R range to the higher-level controller – without each drive needing its own fieldbus interface. The drives sit on the gateway's RS-485 bus, while the PLC sees just a single PROFINET node.

PROFINET communication
The gateway works as a PROFINET slave with Siemens, Rockwell and Beckhoff controllers. Jog operation in 4 speed steps and step moves with 4 distances can be triggered directly from the PLC; LEDs show network, drive, servo ON and alarm status. Siemens controllers require Big Endian byte order (factory default for PROFINET). With Ezi-SERVO ALL-ABS in the system, select protocol version P8.
